Celebration in the Oaks™ Calendar of Events
| Friday, November 16 | | Preview Party | | 7:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. | | Botanical Garden and Amusement Park | This sparkling holiday party previewing the Celebration in the Oaks light display benefits the New Orleans Botanical Garden. Food and unlimited adult beverages from over 100 of New Orleans' finest restaurants and spirit providers will be featured along with entertainment to satisfy everyone's musical appetite, all among a million twinkling lights. And for the kid in all of us, rides on the historic Carousel and Train are back to ride in 2010! All attendees must be 21 or over. Purchase Tickets online.

| Sunday, November 18 | | Childrens' Preview Party | | 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. | | Amusement Park and Storyland | An all-inclusive party just for pint-sized "patrons" and their parents featuring
- all the foods kids can't get enough of-- hamburgers, hot dogs, pizza, cookies, candy, mac and cheese, ice cream, meat balls, cake, chips, fruits, soft drinks, and much more!
- all the Amusement Rides and Storyland, including the new Musik Express, Slime buckets, Ferris wheel, Coney Tower, Roller Coaster, Tilt=-A-Whirl, Scrambler, Bumper Cars, Slide, and the historic Carousel and miniature train decorated for the season.
- unique live entertainment featuring DJ music, Zapp's Bubble Station, face painting, and other treats.
The Children's Preview Party is a terrific opportunity for kids to enjoy their very own holiday tradition before the nightly crowds and feel like little kings and queens at the same time. And just think... moms and dads don't have to do a thing this one holiday evening but enjoy the family experience. | Opens the night after Thanksgiving | | Celebration In The Oaks | Friday and Saturday 6 to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday 6 to 10 p.m. | | Botanical Garden, Amusement Park, and Storyland | City Park's annual holiday lighting exhibit and festival returns with old favorites and new attractions. The displays will be open weekends only starting November 25th through November 27th, open nightly starting December 1 through January 1, closed December 24th and 31st, Open December 25th. See celebrationintheoaks.com for information and updates on closures due to weather. Purchase Tickets online now, print at home, and go straight to the gate! A $1 per ticket service charge applies. Unlimited ridebands ($17) and single ride ticjete ($3) are not available online but are available inside the Amusement Park.

| Saturday, December 8 | | Celebration in the Oaks Run*Walk | | | TBA | A registration fee is charged. Participants are entitled to free early walking tour admission (Garden, Amusements, and Storyland), a commemorative glow-in-the-dark T-shirt, and refreshments. Registration begins at 2:00 p.m., the race at 4:00 p.m. For pre-registration or other information, visit the Crescent City Fitness Foundation website.
